On June 19, 2010, Cincinnati Opera will open its 90th Anniversary season with an extraordinary, one-night-only Gala Concert and Dinner. With Melody Sawyer Richardson as chair of 90th Anniversary Cabinet, Melanie Chavez and Jeannine Winkelmann as event co-chairs, Harry and Linda Fath as honorary event co-chairs, and Patrick Korb as event creative chair, this glamorous event promises to be the social and artistic highlight of the season!
An elegant dinner including fabulous cuisine, amazing live music, sparkling atmosphere, and great camaraderie will begin the evening in Music Hall’s Ballroom, followed by a star-studded concert celebrating nine decades of outstanding opera experiences. The evening will continue with an after-party in Music Hall’s Ballroom featuring dancing to live music, lavish desserts, and complimentary champagne.
The concert will be dedicated to Mrs. Louise Dieterle Nippert in recognition of her extraordinary support to the musical and performing arts in Cincinnati. Many favorites from the operatic and musical theatre repertoire will be performed by numerous singers including Christine Brewer, Denyce Graves, Richard Leech, and Sir Thomas Allen under the batons of Edoardo Müller, Steven Reineke, and Henri Venanzi. Carol Neblett and Sherrill Milnes will share the spotlight as guest hosts. JUST ANNOUNCED! “American Idol” Host and Nationally-Syndicated Radio Personality Ryan Seacrest to host Cincinnati Opera’s 90th Anniversary Gala Concert The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, May Festival, Cincinnati Ballet, and the Opera will come together to salute Mrs. Nippert during the concert’s grand finale.
Two levels of support are available to this extraordinary evening, Grand Patron – $750 per person ($400 tax-deductible) and Patron – $500 per person ($150 tax-deductible). Both levels include the celebratory dinner in the Music Hall Ballroom prior to the concert, premium seating at the Gala Concert, and admission to the after-party. The Grand Patron level also includes an exclusive reception with stars of the 90th Anniversary Concert on Sunday, June 6.
