As acclaimed Bass-Baritone Bruno Pratic performed in the worlds most important concert halls and opera houses, including Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro di San Carlo in Napoli, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro Comunale in Firenze, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Grand Thtre de Genve, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro La Fenice in Venezia, Teatro dellOpera in Rome, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Regio in Parma, Amsterdam Nederlandse Opera, Opra de Lausanne and the New National Theatre and Japan Opera Foundation in Tokyo.

He collaborated with such conductors as Claudio Abbado, Bruno Campanella, Riccardo Chailly, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Daniele Gatti, Donato Renzetti, Carlo Rizzi and Alberto Zedda.

Since 1993 Bruno Pratic has been a regular guest at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. In 1998, in the occasion of his interpretation of the role of Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola, he was awarded the Rossini dOro Prize. In 1999 he returned to Pesaro for Il viaggio a Reims, La Cenerentola, La Gazzetta, Lequivoco stravagante, Le comte Ory, La Gazzetta and more recently for Torvaldo e Dorliska.

The role of Bartolo in Rossinis Il barbiere di Siviglia has become one of his signature parts. He performed Bartolo several times in her career in such venues as Teatro dellOpera in Roma, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Baltimore Opera Company, Arena di Verona, Opra de Montecarlo, Opra National de Paris, Teatro Massimo V. Bellini in Catania, Teatro dellOpera in Roma, Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro Real in Madrid. Other successful performances include his peformances of Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola) at the Opra National de Paris and at Bayerische Staatsoper, of Geronimo (Il matrimonio segreto) at the Thtre des Champs Elyses de Paris and in Montecarlo and the role of Dulcamara (Lelisir damore) at the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia and a the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

In the 2005/06 season he performed Il viaggio a Reims at the Monnaie in Bruxelles, Il signor Bruschino at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Covent Garden, at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and at the Teatro So Carlos in Lisbon. The 2006/07 has brought him to perform Cos fan tutte in Lisbon, La Cenerentola at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, La forza del destino at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova and La finta semplice at the Theater an der Wien.

The 2007/08 season has seen Bruno Pratic performing the title role in Donizettis Don Pasquale at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Sulpice in La figlia del reggimento at the Houston Grand Opera, Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Metropolitan and in Naples, Dandini in La Cenerentola at the Salle Pleyel in Paris and Pulcinella at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, La Cenerentola (Don Magnifico) at the Kungliga Teater in Stockholm.

He opened the 2008/09 season performing Giorgio Battistellis Divorzio allItaliana at the Opra de Nancy, Lelisir damore (Dulcamara) at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Il viaggio a Reims(Trombonok) at the Teatro alla Scala.

Among his future plans are La Cenerentola (Don Magnifico) in Stoccolma, Le nozze di Figaro (Dulcamara) at the Cincinnati Opera, La fille du rgiment (Sulpice) at the San Francisco Opera, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Bartolo) at the Los Angeles Opera and at the Covent Garden.

His extensive discography includes Il barbiere di Siviglia (Bartolo) for EMI, Lelisir damore (Dulcamara) for Erato, Il signor Bruschino and La cambiale di matrimonio for Claves, Lakm, Don Quichotte and Leoncavallos La bohme for Nuova Era, Litaliana in Algeri for Bongiovanni, Donizettis La romanziera e luomo nero for Opera Rara, Litaliana in Algeri for the BMG label and La Cenerentola under the baton of Alberto Zedda.

Born in Aosta, after studying with baritone Giuseppe Valdengo he attended the specialisation courses of Teatro alla Scala and of Rodolfo Celletti.
