Internships

Founded in 1920 and the second oldest opera company in the U.S., Cincinnati Opera presents a thrilling roster of world-class artists and conductors, important company debuts, stunning sets and costumes, and the spectacular Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Today the company is hailed as Cincinnati's "prime summer arts festival" attracting a passionate regional audience as well as opera tourists from throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Cincinnati Opera prides itself not only as a premier performing arts organization, but also as a training ground for enthusiastic talent both on and off stage during the summer season. Aside from chorus and young artists onstage, Cincinnati Opera employs undergraduate and graduate students in all facets of administrative, production, and artistic operations. These interns work side by side with professionals, gaining real-world knowledge of their prospective fields of interest.

Application submission has now closed for 2010 season production, development, and administrative internships.

Below are descriptions of other internships available during our summer season. We are not, however, currently seeking candidates for these positions during our 2010 season.
